UPDATE 17/11/17 16.36

"Following a routine control of wheels during a preventive maintenance, an unusual level of wheel wear has been detected on Eurotunnel shuttles.

In accordance with safety rules, we have taken the decision to accelerate exceptionally our routine programme of inspection. These controls which are normally carried out every 30,000 km lead us to re-profile or replace bogies. Since Fri 10th Nov Eurotunnel are now doing these controls every 15,000 km. As a consequence of this accelerated program, the number of train departures will be reduced over the next few days for VP services."
